She’s Electric
(2025)

She’s Electric is a funny, fierce and deeply moving one-woman show about being the last line of defence - a deep dive into the psyche of a goalkeeper, and a love letter to the women who have shaped the beautiful game, both on and off the pitch.

Inspired by the trailblazing Lioness Rachel Brown-Finnis, Mary Earps, and Hannah Hampton this is not just a story about sport, it’s a celebration of women’s football, its ongoing fight for recognition, and the sheer, bare-faced determination it takes to stand tall when the world is watching.

After a successful fundraiser (thank you everyone who supported us) we are now in the thick of research and development with the support of Lewes FC - the first club to implement equal pay and equal facilities for their men and women’s team. Our writer Chloe Todd Fordham and the directing team Lillian Waddington and Jem Wall are spending the autumn watching Goalkeepers train, talking to players and digging deeper in to the current realities of the women’s game.

Chloe aims to have a compelling first draft of the script ready by early January and we aim to bring this to production in the build up to the next women’s world cup in Brazil in the summer of 2027.

Thank you for helping us make this happen

I fell in love with Chloe’s play the moment I read it. It leapt off the page and into my heart.
